Valentine
Here's some more products that will be available in the Occasions Mini on Jan 4, 2010.
The base of the card is Pretty in Pink Cardstock. The Real Red layer has been punched with the amazing new Scallop Trim Edge punch which will be in the Sale A Bration catalogue - you can get it for FREE with a $65 order. How awesome is that? The next layer is blush blossom and that fabulous designer paper is called Sending Love Specialty paper - it has glitter on it (and the glitter doesn't fall off) - it's also in the Mini. The sentiment is from the new Stamp Set Well Scripted (Mini) and is stamped in Real Red on Very Vanilla cardstock and framed with some hardware from the Styled Vanilla Hodgepodge Hardware in the Main catalogue. It is punched out with the Designer Label punch.
Hope you like it.
Happy New Year!

This sweet little card is a sneak peak at products from the new Occasions Mini Catalogue (that you should get very soon).
I used the Sweet Pea stitched felt (it's so cute!), a piece of the Sweet Pea Designer Series Paper pack (You get tons of paper) and the stamp set Well Scripted stamped in Chocolate Chip. The cardstock colours are Chocolate Chip and Sahara Sand.
Wouldn't you like to make one of your own like this? Call or email me if you didn't get a mini catalogue and I'll get one to you.

Valentine
Yes, I'm thinking about Valentine's Day now! And this card has sneak peaks of what is to come in the Occasions Mini coming out in January. First of all the the Whisper White base is embossed with the Perfect Polka Dots Impressions folder. The heart is the new scallop heart embosslit (the raised dots are heart shaped!) in Real Red. The bird and branch are a new punch - and when I say new, I mean the whole design is new. They're flat and lock closed for easy storage. The punch is the Extra Large Two step Bird (the wing is punched separately as well). The wide Real Red Grosgrain ribbon is tied with a piece of linen thread onto which the Love from Tiny Tags (new stamp set) is attached. I punched it out with the new Medium Jewelry tag punch. The bird and the tag are textured white cardstock, but that's hard to see here. I bought a bunch of the new clear mount stamp sets and I can't wait to show you how that works. You'll have to book a workshop to see!! The mini is sooo exciting!!
Take care, Happy Stamping

Wedding/Anniversary
This stamp set is called Wedding Sweet. I think it's so elegant! I used my precious silver cardstock for this, the image and sentiment are silver embossed on silver cardstock. It's then matted on Night of Navy cs and mounted on more Brushed Silver cardstock that was put through the Big Shot with Pattern #1 texture plate. I did the inside with Whisper White matted with Night of Navy because Silver cs would be hard to write on.
Just ignore the garbage in the background - I took this photo at my computer desk!

A Thank You Card
This is just a quick little Thank You card. I used the Big Shot and the Finial Press to create the embossed background on the Real Red cardstock base. I used a flower from the Pretties Kit and put a punch out from the Boho Blossom punch (Old Olive Patterns DSP) and a Rhinestone Brad in the centre. I used one of the Thanks from the Thank You Kindly stamp set and stamped in in Real Red.
I'm so sorry it's been so long since I've posted. I've been busy lately!!
Friday, October 16, 2009
Colours are Real Red, Garden Green, Bashful Blue, Dusty Durango, Ballet Blue and Whisper White textured and plain.
The punches I used are Small and Large Tag, Curly Label, 1 3/8" Square, Scallop Square, Wide oval and Scallop oval.
Hope you come to bid!!

Guy Card
The image is watercoloured using re-inkers on SU's watercolour paper. The cardstock ink and colours I used are: Chocolate Chip, Old Olive and Soft Suede. I think I used a bit of Always Artichoke ink on the shell too. As well I used the Scallop border punch, Old Olive Brads and dimensionals. Hope you like it! Oh ya, the set is Nature's Nest!

My Digital Studio
MDS can be use to create digital scrapbook pages, calendars, cards and other multimedia presentations. These can all be printed at home or there are professional printing services available.
MDS will be for sale Oct 1,2009. Watch for it!
Let it snow!
This cute Snowman card is for a Stamp a Stack in October. It's a Brilliant Blue cardstock base with Taken with Teal and Umm I think Ballet Blue accents. The Stamp set is Two Cool Dudes (I just love that set) and I also used Best Wishes and More (sentiment and a snowflake), and Holiday Blitz (another snowflake). I used the Big Shot to cut out the Top Note Die and the mat for the Modern Label punch. The mat is cut with the Movers and Shapers die window and it's kinda tricky so I think I'll cut those out for everybody. I Stamped with Brilliant Blue ink and Whisper White Craft ink. Hope you like my snowman!

Christmas yet again
I love this snowy scene! The stamp set is Scenic Season. It's a quick and easy stamp set to use - the image and the sentiment are both on the same block!
The base of the card is Handsome Hunter and although to me it looks like Rich Razzleberry, the layer behind the main image is Real Red. The image is stamped in Handsome Hunter on Bashful Blue cardstock. The snowflakes are one of the Itty Bitty Backgrounds stamped in Versamark and embossed with White Embossing Powder. I finished it off with a snippet of Real Red 1/4" Grosgrain and a clear Rhinestone Brad.
Hope you like it!

Christmas again
Boy, I've got Christmas on the brain!! By the time it comes I likely won't want to see another Christmas card!! LOL I did this as a challenge on Splitcoast Stampers for the Featured Stamper Challenge. What this means is that I cased (copied and selectively edit) a card of another stamper. So I can't take all the credit for this one!
This is a pretty simple card, so here goes the description:
I used Whisper White cardstock and ran it through the Big Shot with a new folder [available in the Holiday Mini Catalogue (you should get one soon)] called Plenty of Petals. I used the beautiful Organza ribbon (pg 183 IB&C 2009-2010). The snowflake is Sizzlet Die (pg 197 IB&C) cut from Garden Green cardstock. The sentiment is from Teeny Tiny Wishes (pg 145 IB&C), it's stamped in Garden Green Ink and punched out with the Word Window Punch (pg 186-7 IB&C). The elastic Silver Cord will also be available in the Holiday Mini.
Does it help if I put the page numbers in from the catalogue or is that just distracting?

Another SAS card!
This is another card for the maybe Stamp A Stack. The colours I used are Always Artichoke, Soft Suede, Mellow Moss and Confetti Cream as the neutral. The gold band behind the images is sticky strip on a thin strip of Soft Suede. I coated the Sticky Strip with gold embossing powder and then heated it. I hope that won't be too complicated for people to do. The images are from Pocket Silhouettes and Close as a Memory.

Birthday
The colours of this card are Not Quite Navy and More Mustard and the card base and image panel are Naturals Ivory. I used the Emboss resist technique on the main image and sponged NQN on and then spritzed it on with the colour spritzer tool.
The stamp set is the Hostess Level 3 Kind and Caring thoughts. I also used a jumbo grommet and linen thread.
I think I'll use this one for a Stamp a Stack which is tentative right now and if it doesn't happen, somebody's gonna get a nice Birthday Card!

Card Games
This little card has a pocket inside to hold a gift card or tea bag or whatever. I finally used my Card Games stamp set - I bought it a while ago and just couldn't figure out what to do with it. I think it's perfect for this card. The colours I used are Real Red, Basic Black and Whisper White. The medallion on the back of the cards is from Boho Backgrounds. I also used the ticket corner punch and the corner rounder.
This was the second card for the workshop I did last Saturday.
Baroque Motifs
The colours I used are Dusty Durango, Chocolate Chip and Apricot Appeal in both ink and cardstock. I also used Gold Embossing Powder and the 1 3/8" circle punch. The sentiment is from Sincere Salutations.
Friday, July 17, 2009
Here's a Christmas card. I'm not sure if I like it or not! It has some neat elements though. I like the Iridescent Ice but maybe I've got too much on here. I used scraps so maybe the red should be wider. I don't know. But here it is for now.
I used the single stamp Dasher from the back of the catalogue, the snowflakes from Snow Swirled and the sentiment from Teeny Tiny Wishes. Real Red, Close to Cocoa and brushed gold cardstock. And the ink is Versamark, Real Red and Close to Cocoa Craft ink.
What do you think?

Priceless!
This is just a cute and easy card. It uses some of the new in colours - Mellon Mambo, Rich Razzleberry, Bermuda Bay, and Crushed Curry. The stamp set is an oldie but a goodie - Priceless and the happy birthday is from Itty Bitty Birthday. I used the large flower from the Boho Blossom punch for the starburst. I also used the Stamp a ma jig to reposition the words.
Isn't that polka dot ribbon cute?!!
Sunday, June 28, 2009
This stamp set is called "For the Bride". When the new catalogue comes out, (which is Wednesday July 1 by the way) it will be on the dormant list. That means that it will still be available for purchase but will not be pictured in the catalogue.
The Mellow Moss base and the Large Whisper White panel are textured cardstock - that stuff looks so elegant! The So Saffron is regular cardstock. I used the eyelet edge punch and layered it for a more delicate look. The image is stamped using the Baby Wipe Technique with So Saffron and Mellow Moss. The taffeta ribbon is held in place with a flower brad. The senitment is also from the same set.

Here I am uploading this late again! I've been so busy getting things ready for the new catalogue release! Only 6 more days!!! This card is a teaser because it features one of the sets from the New Catalogue called "Autumn Days". It's so beautiful I gasped when I saw it the first time!! (ya, I know I'm a nerd hehe). I also used Baroque Motifs, Cardinal Christmas and another new one - a hostess Level 2 set called Christmas Punch. The Movers and Shapers die (Curly label) with a new magnetic inset made the card with the window in it. There are 4 new dies for the base and they match punches - the cutout is just a little larger than the punch - layers so nice!! I used Stampin' Write Markers to colour the pine cones and needles and Chocolate Chip, More Mustard and Versamark inks. I also used Irridescent Ice embossing powder on the flourish from Baroque Motifs. I finished the card with a piece of grosgrain ribbon (it says it's Always Artichoke but it matches Old Olive better). The cardstock is More Mustard, Chocolate Chip and Whisper White.
The first picture is the outside of the card and the next one is the inside. You can see a bit of an edge from the inside in the first photo but that's just because of the way I had to take it! Sorry I see the colours are a bit off - I don't have this photo editing down pat yet!

Sneak Peek
Happy Stamping!
Joanne
Sunday, May 31, 2009
Here's the second card I made. The base is Textured Baja Breeze cardstock. I'm trying to use up some of my 'in colour' stuff because it's retiring the end of next month. I also used Kiwi Kiss, Barely Banana and Whisper White CS.
The Big Shot Daisies #2 is such a pretty die, I don't know why I didn't order it sooner! The other die I used is the Swirly Decorative Strip die. The centres of the flowers are sponged with Barely Banana ink and a Large half back pearl is in the centre. I also used some Kiwi Kiss ink.
I hope you like my cards
Birthday Cards
Hi there! Sorry I didn't post last week - time just flew by. So today, I'll post two cards!
I actually have three birthday cards to make this month and here are two of them.
This first one is done with Night of Navy, Pink Pirouette, and Vellum cardstocks. The stamp sets are Itty Bitty Backgrounds, Fifth Avenue Floral A Little Birthday Cheer and Beautiful Borders. I used Night of Navy ink and Versamark with clear embossing. Half back pearls from the Pretties Kit and in the centre of the flowers. I also used the Eyelet Border punch.

A Rose for Mom
This is my mother's day card for my Mom. I'm going to get it sent away asap. The base is Certainly Celery and it's texture with the small dots Texturz Plate. The Top Note shape is one of the papers in a Taste of Textiles - isn't it beautiful? The sentiment is stamped on a scallop oval of the same paper as the top note so it's hard to see. The rose from Fifth Avenue Floral is embossed with white embossing powder and then watercoloured - it's a really neat technique. If you can believe it I used Cameo Coral to paint the rose! The sentiment is stamped in Regal Rose and I think it matches. The Certainly Celery leaves were made with the SU Sizzlet Little Leaves. The ribbon is from Sale A Bration but you could easily use the 5/8" Green Grosgrain ribbon instead. I hope my Mom likes this card!

Here's a birthday card I did for my minister. She loves to garden so I had to make sure there was some reference to that on the card. I used the Big Shot and Embosslits for the flowers, Rhinstone brads, Little Leaves sizzlet, Sincere Salutations Stamp set, Blooms and Bulbs wheel, Watercolour vine wheel, scallop oval punch, large oval punch, Coluzzle, Baja Breeze textured cardstock & ink and Cameo coral cardstock & ink. I embossed the seed pkgs with white and then sponged the two inks over top. The inside of the card is a 7 flower pop up but I didn't take a picture of it! D'oh! It looked really neat, I'll have to do another one.

A couple of Thank yous
Oh, hi there!! I haven't fallen off the earth - just been busy with one of my boys home. Anyway here's one of two thank you cards I made. This base is Baja Breeze textured CS and the image is stamped on Naturals Ivory CS. I used the grass image from Inspired by Nature which is on the Dormant list - it's available just not shown in a catalogue. And the sentiment is from Kind Thanks. The stamped butterfly is from Flight of the Butterfly and is stamped in Baja Breeze. The grass is done in Kiwi Kiss. The main image is matted with Chocolate Chip. Those cute 3D butterflies are made with the Big Shot die Beautiful Butterflies which is an exclusive Stampin' Up! die from Sizzix and of course I used the Big Shot itself. The butterflies are cut from Walk in the Park DSP which is in the Occasions Mini Catalogue - I think its so pretty! The ribbon is Pretty in Pink Taffeta.
Here's the second card I made with Kind Thanks
I used my old standby "Heartfelt Thanks" to do this one ~ it's one of the sets I got with my Starter Kit when I first signed up!! And I always find I can do pretty cards with it. The base of this card is also Baja Breeze Textured CS but this time I've added Pink Pirouette and Chocolate Chip. The "Thanks" and flower outlines are stamped in Chocolate Chip rather than Black. The ribbon is the Organza ribbon in the Main catalogue. It's pretty stuff - in the centre of the Organza is a solid satin line. Pretty! The flowers are stamped with Pink Pirouette and the centres are done with Super Nova Fine Glitter and Crystal Effects for some dimension.
That's all for now, see ya again soon! Joanne

The cutest little Easter Basket!
Finally! Here's the tutorial I promised - it's been a crazy week and I ended up not feeling well but all is good now!
You can click on the pictures to make them bigger.
Supplies
6" X 6" Double sided Designer Series paper such as Patterns Pack II (L1 Hostess reward)
8 1/2" X 1/2" strip in matching cardstock
Snail Adhesive
Sticky Strip
Cutter with scoring blade
SU Cherry Blossom Embosslit
Big Shot
Steps
1. Score each side of the 6" X 6" DSP at 2"
2. Score each corner from where the score lines cross to the outer tip of the corner - do not score the centre box.
(I have darkened the score lines in this photo)
3. Fold on all score lines.
4. Place snail adhesive on each corner within the triangle space formed by the score lines.
See picture for placement.
5. Pinch the corner together as shown in the next picture and repeat on the other 3 corners.
Your box should look like this now:
6. Fold each flap over to one side of the box. Make sure you fold all flaps in the same direction. adhere them to the side of the box with sticky strip.
7. Attach the handle inside the box, making it as long as you like.
8. Decorate as desired. I used the Stampin' Up! Cherry Blossom embosslit and the Big Shot. I have pictures of that if you want to see it too.
You can also fill your little basket with 1/4" strips of cardstock that have been run through a crimper.
Hope you like it!

STYC
Sneak Peak
In addition to the Sense of Time stamp set I used Celebrate everything, Sanded and Itty Bitty Backgrounds. The colours are Chocolate Chip and Bordering Blue. Those yummy brads are the 5/16" Brads on page 174 in the SU spring/summer IB&C. I also used an antique brass Jumbo eyelet and some hemp that I dyed by running it through my Choc. Chip pad while holding it down with a sponge.
Thanks for stopping by!

For You
This card is for you, yes, you reading my blog. This tweet and cheery card is to thank you for stopping by!
I used my brand new set Cheep Talk - I think it's so cute!! The ink colours are Pacific Point, Tempting Turquoise and Old Olive. The cardstock is Pumpkin Pie, Tempting Turquoise Pacific Point and Whisper White. I also used the printed Velum from Taste of Textiles. The hardware is a Jumbo Grommet - coming in the new Occasions Mini and a pumpkin pie flower brad. Everything else is available in the Spring/Summer Idea Book and Catalogue 2009.
Speaking of the Catalogue - did I tell you that Stampin' Up! is going to ONE catalogue a year now? There will be 3 minis each lasting 4 months to make sure you get everything that's trendy and hot. Isn't that great news?!! The new catalogue is due in July.
