Another "Mother of Pearl" technique card

I did this Mother of pearl with Champagne mist shimmer paint and Night of Navy and Cherry cobbler ink. I used the Bigz Butterfly die in my Big Shot. The cardstock colours are Night of Navy and Shimmery White, the stamp set is Teeny Tiny Wishes (it says With Sympathy). I also used the Flower Garden embossing folder in the summer mini Catalogue and some Basic Rhinestones.
I like the Clean and Simple look!

New Paper!

This is a sneak peek at some new Designer series paper (DSP) that will be in the new catalogue (yes it's getting close to that time again!). It's called Paisley petals and I just love it! The colours in it are Cherry cobbler (my fav!), Marina Mist, Baja Breeze, Not Quite Navy, Peach Parfait, Always Artichoke and I think Old Olive. Lots of colour to choose from! I made the flower out of punches to match the main blossom on the paper. The punches I used are: Blossom Petals Punch, Two step Bird Punch, Boho Blossom Punch and 1" circle punch. The cardstock colours are the same as the DSP colours. I stamped Happy Birthday with Not Quite Navy ink. This was a fun card to make!! Oh, ya, I also use Very Vanilla textured Cardstock!

Cards for Toos

I made a whole set of cards for Toos and Cafe Paris. I'm posting them small, but if you want to see them bigger, just click on them. She asked for 25 cards and I made 27 (oops), and I also made a box for them.
This is split into 2 posts because I can only add 5 pics max to a post or so it seems.
The basic colours used are Chocolate Chip, Really Rust, More Mustard and a bit of Sage Shadow. I used retired Designer Series Paper and thus the retired cs colours as well. I gold embossed the Eiffel tower and left blanks for her to write her own greeting. I also used miscellaneous non-SU stuff and various retired embellishments. I also used various embossing folders and the Big Shot and a bunch of punches. If you're curious about specifics - just email or leave a comment.
I hope Toos likes these!

A little shower card

This is a 3" X 3" enclosure card. I'm going to a wedding shower this afternoon. Her Bridal colours are red and black so I wanted to do a card with some red in it. This colour combo is from the new Colour Coach from Stampin' Up! The colours are all new too: Daffodil Delight, Early Expresso, and Cherry Cobbler. The ribbon is new too, it's 1/8" Early Expresso Taffeta - so pretty!!
The stamp set is an old SU one, it's called Bloomin' Beautiful. The rhinestones are not SU although we have some clear adhesive rhinestones in the new Catalogue!! Yeah!! The edge punch I used is the pinking hearts border punch. The sentiment is from Teeny Tiny Wishes. The M on the envelope is from Lovely Letters. And on the inside I used "Wishing You Love and Laughter Forever After" from Curvy Verses. Oh, Ya, I also used the Word Window punch to make for your shower stand out a little bit. I used markers to colour the image. Hope you like it!

Valentine

Here's some more products that will be available in the Occasions Mini on Jan 4, 2010.
The base of the card is Pretty in Pink Cardstock. The Real Red layer has been punched with the amazing new Scallop Trim Edge punch which will be in the Sale A Bration catalogue - you can get it for FREE with a $65 order. How awesome is that? The next layer is blush blossom and that fabulous designer paper is called Sending Love Specialty paper - it has glitter on it (and the glitter doesn't fall off) - it's also in the Mini. The sentiment is from the new Stamp Set Well Scripted (Mini) and is stamped in Real Red on Very Vanilla cardstock and framed with some hardware from the Styled Vanilla Hodgepodge Hardware in the Main catalogue. It is punched out with the Designer Label punch.
Hope you like it.
Happy New Year!

Valentine

Yes, I'm thinking about Valentine's Day now! And this card has sneak peaks of what is to come in the Occasions Mini coming out in January. First of all the the Whisper White base is embossed with the Perfect Polka Dots Impressions folder. The heart is the new scallop heart embosslit (the raised dots are heart shaped!) in Real Red. The bird and branch are a new punch - and when I say new, I mean the whole design is new. They're flat and lock closed for easy storage. The punch is the Extra Large Two step Bird (the wing is punched separately as well). The wide Real Red Grosgrain ribbon is tied with a piece of linen thread onto which the Love from Tiny Tags (new stamp set) is attached. I punched it out with the new Medium Jewelry tag punch. The bird and the tag are textured white cardstock, but that's hard to see here. I bought a bunch of the new clear mount stamp sets and I can't wait to show you how that works. You'll have to book a workshop to see!! The mini is sooo exciting!!
Take care, Happy Stamping
Joanne

Guy Card

This is a card for a friend. I figure guys don't need any frufru.
The image is watercoloured using re-inkers on SU's watercolour paper. The cardstock ink and colours I used are: Chocolate Chip, Old Olive and Soft Suede. I think I used a bit of Always Artichoke ink on the shell too. As well I used the Scallop border punch, Old Olive Brads and dimensionals. Hope you like it! Oh ya, the set is Nature's Nest!

Let it snow!

This cute Snowman card is for a Stamp a Stack in October. It's a Brilliant Blue cardstock base with Taken with Teal and Umm I think Ballet Blue accents. The Stamp set is Two Cool Dudes (I just love that set) and I also used Best Wishes and More (sentiment and a snowflake), and Holiday Blitz (another snowflake). I used the Big Shot to cut out the Top Note Die and the mat for the Modern Label punch. The mat is cut with the Movers and Shapers die window and it's kinda tricky so I think I'll cut those out for everybody. I Stamped with Brilliant Blue ink and Whisper White Craft ink. Hope you like my snowman!

Christmas again

Boy, I've got Christmas on the brain!! By the time it comes I likely won't want to see another Christmas card!! LOL I did this as a challenge on Splitcoast Stampers for the Featured Stamper Challenge. What this means is that I cased (copied and selectively edit) a card of another stamper. So I can't take all the credit for this one!
This is a pretty simple card, so here goes the description:
I used Whisper White cardstock and ran it through the Big Shot with a new folder [available in the Holiday Mini Catalogue (you should get one soon)] called Plenty of Petals. I used the beautiful Organza ribbon (pg 183 IB&C 2009-2010). The snowflake is Sizzlet Die (pg 197 IB&C) cut from Garden Green cardstock. The sentiment is from Teeny Tiny Wishes (pg 145 IB&C), it's stamped in Garden Green Ink and punched out with the Word Window Punch (pg 186-7 IB&C). The elastic Silver Cord will also be available in the Holiday Mini.
Does it help if I put the page numbers in from the catalogue or is that just distracting?

Card Games

This little card has a pocket inside to hold a gift card or tea bag or whatever. I finally used my Card Games stamp set - I bought it a while ago and just couldn't figure out what to do with it. I think it's perfect for this card. The colours I used are Real Red, Basic Black and Whisper White. The medallion on the back of the cards is from Boho Backgrounds. I also used the ticket corner punch and the corner rounder.

This was the second card for the workshop I did last Saturday.

Priceless!

This is just a cute and easy card. It uses some of the new in colours - Mellon Mambo, Rich Razzleberry, Bermuda Bay, and Crushed Curry. The stamp set is an oldie but a goodie - Priceless and the happy birthday is from Itty Bitty Birthday. I used the large flower from the Boho Blossom punch for the starburst. I also used the Stamp a ma jig to reposition the words.
Isn't that polka dot ribbon cute?!!

A Rose for Mom

This is my mother's day card for my Mom. I'm going to get it sent away asap. The base is Certainly Celery and it's texture with the small dots Texturz Plate. The Top Note shape is one of the papers in a Taste of Textiles - isn't it beautiful? The sentiment is stamped on a scallop oval of the same paper as the top note so it's hard to see. The rose from Fifth Avenue Floral is embossed with white embossing powder and then watercoloured - it's a really neat technique. If you can believe it I used Cameo Coral to paint the rose! The sentiment is stamped in Regal Rose and I think it matches. The Certainly Celery leaves were made with the SU Sizzlet Little Leaves. The ribbon is from Sale A Bration but you could easily use the 5/8" Green Grosgrain ribbon instead. I hope my Mom likes this card!

Sneak Peak

This is a sneak peak of a stamp set in the Occasions Mini which is coming April 1! The set is called Sense of Time and I just love it!!
In addition to the Sense of Time stamp set I used Celebrate everything, Sanded and Itty Bitty Backgrounds. The colours are Chocolate Chip and Bordering Blue. Those yummy brads are the 5/16" Brads on page 174 in the SU spring/summer IB&C. I also used an antique brass Jumbo eyelet and some hemp that I dyed by running it through my Choc. Chip pad while holding it down with a sponge.
Thanks for stopping by!

For You

This card is for you, yes, you reading my blog. This tweet and cheery card is to thank you for stopping by!
I used my brand new set Cheep Talk - I think it's so cute!! The ink colours are Pacific Point, Tempting Turquoise and Old Olive. The cardstock is Pumpkin Pie, Tempting Turquoise Pacific Point and Whisper White. I also used the printed Velum from Taste of Textiles. The hardware is a Jumbo Grommet - coming in the new Occasions Mini and a pumpkin pie flower brad. Everything else is available in the Spring/Summer Idea Book and Catalogue 2009.

Speaking of the Catalogue - did I tell you that Stampin' Up! is going to ONE catalogue a year now? There will be 3 minis each lasting 4 months to make sure you get everything that's trendy and hot. Isn't that great news?!! The new catalogue is due in July.

Another Thank you card

Here's the third thank you card I've done for friends. The colours are Baja Breeze, Kiwi Kiss, Basic Black and Kraft. There's not much stamping here, the main image is Urban Oasis DSP (Designer Series Paper). The focal point is a piece of Soho Designer hardware - it's set like an eyelet, but no hole. The black flower around it was made with the Flower Burst embosslit in the Big Shot. The ribbon is Taffeta Kraft and the sentiment is stamped in Basic Black.
I accidentally made this card 4 1/2" x 5 1/2", so it didn't fit too well in the envelope!!! Oh, well!
I hope she liked it anyway!

Trendy Trees

Here's a cute card done with a new set I got. Trendy Trees need a stamp-a-ma-jig to get the placements right (and I still didn't to a perfect job! LOL). I used the Big Shot and the Impressions Plate from SU Backgrounds 1. Then I added little dots where the diamonds touch. The colours on this card are Kiwi Kiss, Summer Sun, Pumpkin Pie and Close to Cocoa (same colour inks). These colours were a colour challenge on Splitcoast the other day so I had to give it a try - Kinda fallish though don't ya think? The other set I used on this is the Hostess set Darling Dots - I think I'm going to use it more often - it's cute!! I hope my friend likes this card!

Oh Baby!

This is a card I made just to have on hand. You never know when you need one! The Giraffe is from Wild About You (I love that set) and the Best Wishes is from Cute and Curly in the Curly label punch bundle. The Baby was cut out with the Naturally Serif decorative strip die and the Big Shot. The glue booger on the 'a' doesn't show in real life!!! I also used the Curly Label punch and pink Taffeta ribbon. The colours are Pretty in Pink and So Saffron (my favourite combo!!)
Thanks for lookin'!

This is a sweet little card done with the Sale-A-Bration set called Botanical Blooms. You're still able to receive a free SAB stamp set or product when you order $60.00 worth of catalogue merchandise. Feb and Mar are Sale-A-Bration months!
I also used the Eyelet border punch and White taffeta ribbon. The cardstock I used is Shimmery White, So Saffron and Almost Amethyst. The ink is Stazon Black, So Saffron and Almost Amethyst. I think it's a nice spring-Easter card. I hope you like it!!

helloooo again!

I finally figured out how to get back to this blog! Sorry it took me so long. I want to get back to putting pics of my cards up again so here we go:

This is a Thank you card I did for church. I know I strayed from all Stampin' Up! But a girl's gotta do what a girl's gotta do!!
I actually did three thank you cards so here are the other 2.

Stampin' Up! has Texture plates now so I can hardly wait for my new order to come. That means that we will be able to add texture to our cards something similar to a cuttlebug but just a little more subtle. Hopefully my new stuff comes near the end of next week! Watch for posts of new stuff.

This is the card we would have done for Stamp till ya Cramp. It's 3 1/2" X 4 1/4" and when you open it, there's a teabag tucked inside. The bunny is made with punches. Cardstock is Certainly Celery, Perfect Plum, Pale Plum, So Saffron and Shimmery White. Ink is Certainly Celery and Perfect Plum. The Just for You Punch Box was used to make the flowers. The Stamps used are Daisy Field Wheel, and Simply Said. This is just so adorable IRL!
My artwork (all original unless otherwise stated) is shared only for your personal inspiration, all products and stamps are from stampin' up! unless otherwise stated.
