Masculine BD card

I needed a card for my nephew and decided to use some of the things I've been hoarding!
I used a craft foil and sanded the top after I put it through an embossing folder. I used the word window punch and put the sentiment in behind the foil. The Bonsai is from an SU set called Plant Hope. I love that tree! The colours are soft suede and always artichoke. The sentiment is from teeny tiny wishes. I distressed the edges with the distressing tool. Oh, and I sponged with soft suede, early espresso and always artichoke.

A Friend's Project

A friend was over this afternoon and made this awesome Photo Wallet.

It uses Textured black cardstock, Mocha Morning Specialty DSP and Crumb Cake Cardstock. The Mocha morning paper is flocked and is so beautiful - you have to feel it to believe it!!!
The belly band slips off and inside is this mini album:

Those are Neutral Glimmer Brads on the side. The tabs are made with the Round tab punch and stapled on.

Close up of belly band:
She did an awesome job eh?!

Another "Mother of Pearl" technique card

I did this Mother of pearl with Champagne mist shimmer paint and Night of Navy and Cherry cobbler ink. I used the Bigz Butterfly die in my Big Shot. The cardstock colours are Night of Navy and Shimmery White, the stamp set is Teeny Tiny Wishes (it says With Sympathy). I also used the Flower Garden embossing folder in the summer mini Catalogue and some Basic Rhinestones.
I like the Clean and Simple look!

This is my Mother's Day card for this year. I had prepared it for our Club meetings this month and thanks to a friend, now realize that Club will be after Mother's Day!!! ooops! I used the same technique and card style to make a Father's Day card so this gives you a sneak peek at what we're doing for club. This card is called a "half-cut" card and the technique I used is Mother of Pearl. The colours are Regal Rose, Baja Breeze and Whisper White. I also used Stazon Black ink and Frost White shimmer paint. The embossing folder is a new one in the summer mini called "Flower Garden". I love it! The stamp sets are Wonderful Favorites, Fifth Avenue Floral, Word Play and Short and Sweet. I also used the Movers and Shapers Curly label die with the punch windows insert and the Full Heart Punch.

New Paper!

This is a sneak peek at some new Designer series paper (DSP) that will be in the new catalogue (yes it's getting close to that time again!). It's called Paisley petals and I just love it! The colours in it are Cherry cobbler (my fav!), Marina Mist, Baja Breeze, Not Quite Navy, Peach Parfait, Always Artichoke and I think Old Olive. Lots of colour to choose from! I made the flower out of punches to match the main blossom on the paper. The punches I used are: Blossom Petals Punch, Two step Bird Punch, Boho Blossom Punch and 1" circle punch. The cardstock colours are the same as the DSP colours. I stamped Happy Birthday with Not Quite Navy ink. This was a fun card to make!! Oh, ya, I also use Very Vanilla textured Cardstock!

Retro!

Just a wild and crazy card that reminds me of the 60's and 70's. The colour strip on the left is a paint sample thingy. The stamp set is Petal Pizzazz and the colours are Early Espresso, Pumpkin Pie and Old Olive. I used the large white brads SU has. I forget the size right now, but they come in Silver, White, Vanilla and Choc. Chip (or Early Espresso?)
The lattice strip is a punch from a big box store (snicker!)
Thanks for looking!

This is another BD card for my SIL's stash. I used Stampin' Up!'s tulip embossing folder on textured River Rock Card Stock. The image is from a stamp company I won't name here! But the background to the image is SU's French Script and then I sponged the edges with River Rock. The scallop edge piece is Early Espresso as is the base of the card.
Let me know if you want more info about the card!

Long time no blog!!

Hi, it's been too long since I've posted. I know some of you have been faithfully checking if I've updated and I'm sorry it's been so long!
So here's some new stuff.
I cut my hair and send it in as a donation for a wig for a cancer patient. Here's a pic of the hair I sent:

Can you believe it was about 11" long?

I've been making some cards for my Sister-in-law, she asked me to make her a variety, so here's a couple that I've made for her. I hope to post some regularly now, so keep your eyes peeled!

These both use some stamps and things that are not SU and that's all I'm gonna say about that!
The cardstock and some images are though.
If you'd really like to know what I used on these, leave me a comment and I'll get back to you.

Here's something cool I'm making to sell at Cafe Paris:
It's a tumbled marble tile that I've stamped on and added cork pads to the bottom. You can use it as a coaster.
The Eiffel tower is stamped in a brown (looks kinda black to me here) The stamp sets are both Stampin' Up!. So I think I'm going to have fun with a variety of these!

So that's all for now - talk to you soon!
