Retro!

Just a wild and crazy card that reminds me of the 60's and 70's. The colour strip on the left is a paint sample thingy. The stamp set is Petal Pizzazz and the colours are Early Espresso, Pumpkin Pie and Old Olive. I used the large white brads SU has. I forget the size right now, but they come in Silver, White, Vanilla and Choc. Chip (or Early Espresso?)
The lattice strip is a punch from a big box store (snicker!)
Thanks for looking!

This is another BD card for my SIL's stash. I used Stampin' Up!'s tulip embossing folder on textured River Rock Card Stock. The image is from a stamp company I won't name here! But the background to the image is SU's French Script and then I sponged the edges with River Rock. The scallop edge piece is Early Espresso as is the base of the card.
Let me know if you want more info about the card!

Long time no blog!!

Hi, it's been too long since I've posted. I know some of you have been faithfully checking if I've updated and I'm sorry it's been so long!
So here's some new stuff.
I cut my hair and send it in as a donation for a wig for a cancer patient. Here's a pic of the hair I sent:

Can you believe it was about 11" long?

I've been making some cards for my Sister-in-law, she asked me to make her a variety, so here's a couple that I've made for her. I hope to post some regularly now, so keep your eyes peeled!

These both use some stamps and things that are not SU and that's all I'm gonna say about that!
The cardstock and some images are though.
If you'd really like to know what I used on these, leave me a comment and I'll get back to you.

Here's something cool I'm making to sell at Cafe Paris:
It's a tumbled marble tile that I've stamped on and added cork pads to the bottom. You can use it as a coaster.
The Eiffel tower is stamped in a brown (looks kinda black to me here) The stamp sets are both Stampin' Up!. So I think I'm going to have fun with a variety of these!

So that's all for now - talk to you soon!
Joanne

Part two Cards for Toos

See Previous Post for details :)

Cards for Toos

I made a whole set of cards for Toos and Cafe Paris. I'm posting them small, but if you want to see them bigger, just click on them. She asked for 25 cards and I made 27 (oops), and I also made a box for them.
This is split into 2 posts because I can only add 5 pics max to a post or so it seems.
The basic colours used are Chocolate Chip, Really Rust, More Mustard and a bit of Sage Shadow. I used retired Designer Series Paper and thus the retired cs colours as well. I gold embossed the Eiffel tower and left blanks for her to write her own greeting. I also used miscellaneous non-SU stuff and various retired embellishments. I also used various embossing folders and the Big Shot and a bunch of punches. If you're curious about specifics - just email or leave a comment.
I hope Toos likes these!

Birthday Again

Just a cheery little Birthday card. The stamp sets are Just Believe (love this set!), Punch Potpourri, Teeny Tiny Wishes and Chic Boutique. The colours are So Saffron, Baja Breeze and Poppy Parade. I also used paper from the Hostess Level 1 Paper pack. the corners of the main image are done with the curly label punch and the sentiment is punched out with the new XL Decorative Label punch. I also used the self adhesive Rhinestones and Pearls.

Happy Birthday Scott!

It was Scott's BD yesterday and this is the card I made him. The style is a joy fold card.
I took the colours for it from peacock feathers - the colours are Soft Suede, Always Artichoke, Tempting Turquoise, Night of Navy, Early Expresso, More Mustard and Brushed Gold. I used lots of smooch spritz - Vanilla and Log Cabin and I also used Smooch Illuminate top coat. I used markers as well as an Aquapainter to colour the image. The stamp set is nature's nest and the wheel is called Textured. I stamped the main image in Black Stazon on Watercolour Paper. All products are available in the Stampin' Up! catalogue.
Thanks for looking!

In Paris!

This is a card I've made for the owner of Cafe Paris. There will be several with variations. For this one I used More Mustard Cardstock as the base. Choc. Chip for the mat. And Retired Really Rust and Sage Shadow for the other mats. The Designer Paper is also retired.
The stamp set is Artistic Etchings and it is Gold embossed. The sentiment is computer generated. I used one of the little library clips, they're so cute! I also used the Scallop edge punch and some non-SU gold paper.
Thanks for looking! Have a great day!
