Stickers for Cling Mount Stamps Video

 Happy Summer!

I just got some new stamp sets from my pre-order of the August to December mini catalogue and I thought I'd give you a quick video on how I apply the sticker to my cling mount stamp sets.  (Plus a sneak peak at a new Christmas set)

Pop and Flip Card (or Flip and Pop - whatever!) Video will be posted soon.

Pop and Flip Card

Supplies

5 ½ X 8 ½” Cardstock base

3 X 4” piece of cardstock

¾ X 2 ¼” piece of cardstock

DSP 4 X 5 ¼”

Die for pop up opening. (I used tasteful label dies)

Die cutting machine

Pansy Dies for main feature or your choice

Steps

1)    Score 3 X 4” piece of cardstock at 1”, 2” and 3” on the 4” side.  Burnish the folds with a bone folder, so they fold easily.

2)    Score ¾ X 2 ¼” piece of cardstock at 1 ¼” on the 2 ¼” side. Burnish fold.

3)    Score 5 ½ X 8 ½” piece of cardstock at 4 ¼” on the 8 ½” side. (Card Base)

4)    Attach the DSP to the front of the card base putting tape only on the edges of the DSP.

5)    Open up the card and place your die for the pop-up opening in the centre of the front of the card and run it through your die cutting machine.  Reserve the DSP cutout for another use and keep the cardstock cutout for finishing the card.

6)    Fold the 3 X 4 piece of cardstock so all the folds are mountains.  You now have a 3D rectangle.  Put tape along the edge of one of the 3” edges, open your card base and centre the taped piece next to the score line of the card base so it is parallel to the score line on the back of the inside.  Fold the piece upwards on the 2” score line and put tape along the very edge of the other 3” side.  Close the card and press the front where the tape is.  Open the card and you should have a little box placed at the centre crease of the card.

7)    Close the card again and put adhesive on the ¾” edge of the long side of the ¾ X 2 ¼” piece of cardstock.  And place it with the ¾” edge of the long side near the top of the opening and attached to the 3D box.  The folded edge is toward you.

8)    Glue together your Pansy or whatever embellishment you are using for the front, stamp the die cut piece that you saved from before and glue your embellishment to the front of the die cut piece.

9)    Put tape on the short flap of the ¾” X 2 ¼” piece of cardstock only and with the card closed, replace the die cut into the opening it was cut from.

10)  Open the card and the die cut should swing upwards and inwards to be viewed from inside or outside.

11)  Stamp a greeting to the bottom left of the inside of the card where it will not be covered by the popped-up die cut

Here is January's Stamp club cards.  I will add the video in the next day or so.  I have to shoot it first!  I have 2 cards for you

Flat Edge Card

Supplies

5 ½ X 8 ½” piece of cardstock

1 X 5 ¼” piece of Designer Series Paper

2 ¾ X 5 ¼” piece of cardstock

2 ½ X 5” piece of white or light cardstock

18” Thread or ribbon

Steps

1)  Score the 5 ½ X 8 ½” piece of cardstock at 4 ¼” and 5 ½” on the 8 ½” side.  Fold in half on the 4 ¼” score line and then back on the 5 ½” score line.

2)  Glue or tape down the 1 ¼” panel to the inside of the card leaving a panel that is 3” X 5 ½” wide to open.

3)  Attach the 1 X 5 ¼” piece of DSP to the narrow panel on the left.

4)  Stamp your image on the 2 ½ X 5” piece of light cardstock and mat the image with the 2 ¾” X 5 ¼” cardstock and mount on the right side of the front of the card.

5)  Tie a thread or ribbon vertically around the small left-hand panel.

And the second card:

Square Spring Card

Supplies

Designer Series Paper or Cardstock 4 1/4 X 8 1/2"

Bone folder

Cardstock for embellishing

Steps

1)    With the pattern you want featured facing up, fold your paper/cardstock in half to make a 4 1/4" square

2)    Open up the paper and fold the right side back to the centre, creating a quarter fold on the right end.

3)    Open the paper up again and turn it so that the featured pattern is face down.  Grab the lower left hand corner, lift it up and over until the lower edge is even with the score created in step 2.  Crease it with the bone folder.

4)    Open the paper up again and this time, grab the upper left hand corner and pull it down until the upper edge is even with the score created in step 2.  Crease it with the bone folder.

5)    Mark the centre of the 5 ¼” left hand side with a pencil.  Draw lines from this point to where the diagonal crease reaches the edge of the paper, creating a diamond shape.  Trim on the lines

6)    If everything was creased in the correct direction, it should automatically fold up perfectly.  You can add a little bit of adhesive under the front point on the bottom to get it to stay upright.

7)    Decorate as desired.
